Institutional Policy & Data Privacy

Privacy Charter & Data Governance Policy

The Pakistan Provincial Reform Institute (PPRI) is committed to rigorous standards of digital privacy, academic transparency, and data protection. This charter outlines how we handle user data across our static website, interactive tools, and public consultations.

Core Privacy Commitments

Principle 01

Zero Commercial Trackers

PPRI does not deploy commercial advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or monetized user profiling scripts anywhere on this website.

Principle 02

Local-First Architecture

Interactive tools—including the Scenario Lab and Survey Engine—execute calculations entirely in your browser using local client memory.

Principle 03

Research Anonymity

Public consultation questionnaire responses are stored locally on your device (`localStorage`) and aggregated only in anonymized statistical batches.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require user accounts, passwords, phone numbers, or mandatory personal profiles to access any of PPRI's policy papers, empirical datasets, scenario modeling tools, or constitutional libraries. All research materials are public and open-access.

2. Interactive Calculators & Local Storage

When using our Scenario Lab or the Public Consultation Survey, the website uses browser localStorage solely to preserve your active scenario configurations and survey step progress across browser reloads. This information resides exclusively on your local device hardware and is never transmitted to a third-party commercial marketing database.

3. Voluntary Correspondence & Academic Submissions

If you contact PPRI via email or submit research papers and policy memoranda through our consultation portals:

  • Your contact details and correspondence are used solely for direct communication regarding your inquiry or paper submission.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade correspondent contact information to political organizations, lobbying firms, or commercial vendors.
  • Consultation submissions cited in published policy digests are cited only with the author's explicit written consent, or anonymized upon request.

4. Hosting Infrastructure & Server Logs

The PPRI website is hosted via GitHub Pages static edge infrastructure. Standard server request logs (including anonymized IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and request timestamps) are processed by GitHub to ensure infrastructural reliability, defend against denial-of-service attacks, and maintain network security.

5. Inquiries Regarding Data Privacy

For questions regarding PPRI's digital data protection practices, or to request the deletion of any voluntarily submitted consultation memo, please contact our Institutional Secretariat at info@ppripakistan.org.
