OFFICIAL REFERENCE

PBS Geography / GIS

Pakistan Bureau of Statistics maintains the official Census GIS and administrative-area framework. PPRI treats the interactive open layer as a visualization source and PBS as the institutional reference.

Why the map may differ from a current administrative notification: administrative boundaries can change through creation or reconstitution of units. The PBS GIS section notes that administrative-unit boundaries are updated and frozen for Census operations; this site therefore identifies the map source and date rather than presenting a generic basemap as an official boundary.
